Full Job Description

Working withing a busy European IT department the successful candidate is to work in tandem with the Model and Service Strategy Stream Leads, Master Data Lead, and business specialists to create and maintain business metrics, facilitate data analytics, and communicate business insights. The successful candidate is to identify the data analytics problems, turn it into solutions that offer the greatest opportunities to the organisation. The Analytics Data Engineer will use a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, use a variety of data tools, build and implement models, create/use algorithms and create/run simulations.,

  • Work with stakeholders throughout the organisation to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions
  • Build algorithms and design experiments to merge, manage, interrogate and extract data to supply tailored reports to the business and functions
  • Use machine learning tools and statistical techniques to produce solutions to problems
  • Create clear reports and metrics that tell compelling stories from business data
  • Mine and analyse data from company databases to drive optimisation and improvement
  • Look for opportunities to use insights/datasets/code/models across other functions in the organisation (for example in the HR and marketing departments).
  • Assess the effectiveness of data sources and data-gathering techniques and improve data collection methods
  • Horizon scan to stay up to date with the latest technology, techniques and methods
  • Conduct research from which you will develop prototypes and proof of concepts
  • Provide regular update on progress and challenges.
  • Meet governance requirements and comply with SOX and ISO/ITIL framework procedures

    Degree in Information Technology
  • Certificate in ITIL Foundation
  • Certificate in Prince 2 Foundation
  • Ability to communicate effectively by phone and email
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively within a diverse cultural environment
  • Highly organised
  • Excellent attention to detail
