Full Job Description
Onward Homes is looking to recruit a Analytics and Insight Manager to join our Analytics and Insights team on a permanent basis. This role is predominately a home-based role, where there is no daily requirement to attend an office but the successful candidate will be expected to attend the offices across the north west for collaboration and business partnering meetings.
Purpose of role: To manage the Data Analysts and/or Performance and Insight Analysts for the organisation, ensuring analysis informs recommendations that influence strategic decision making and drive operational improvement. Establish processes, controls, and assurance for data used internally and externally.
Performance Analysis and Insight
Manage all aspects of performance including developing indicators and reporting, and providing timely, accurate and intelligent analysis and insight to inform strategic and operational decision making.
Lead the development of innovative techniques to use data to shape services, including proactive use of advanced analytics and predictive analytics and insight, across the business.
Data
Establish and manage protocols to provide data assurance and ensure the highest standards of data quality and accuracy are consistently applied, enabling decisions to be made with appropriate and valid data.
Manage the data infrastructure and analytical/business intelligence systems to ensure they are working effectively and facilitate performance analysis and insight
Collaboration
Provide a link between the analysis of performance and other teams and promote the use of data and insight across all areas of the business.
Develop strong relationships with colleagues and use influence to ensure they use data and analysis to inform action and improvement at activity, operational and strategic levels.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure data reporting continues to meet the needs of Onward now and in the future
External
Manage the processes to produce and validate external data and ensure regulatory returns are completed to the highest standards. Identify and manage any organisational risks or impact.
Manage the approach to benchmarking, using it to challenge performance, identify best practice and to deliver efficiencies, improvements, and value for money.
Management, Leadership and Culture Change
Manage the budgets, resources and priorities of the team ensuring effective and efficient use of resources to deliver agreed performance targets and customer satisfaction. Drive culture change across the organisation based on the 8 values.
Advanced analytical skills, using data to influence thinking and inform decision making. Able to analyse data and information and turn it into meaningful narrative and recommendations.
Experience of understanding customer and business needs, interpreting complex data and communicating analysis to assist decision making.
Experience of leading and developing a team, including project and matrix management.
Experience of qualitative as well as quantitative analysis.
Experience of working proactively and collaboratively with key stakeholders to develop data and performance services and improve systems, in order to develop services, improve customer satisfaction and business performance.
Able to identify areas of opportunity, define the reporting and analytical requirements and articulate the steps needed to improve performance and service delivery.
Experience of developing analytical and performance frameworks to drive service improvement.
Experience of collaborating and engaging with colleagues at all levels of the business.
IT skills - Microsoft office up to intermediate level.
Desirable:
Experience of data management and business intelligence/analytical systems, such as Qlik or other similar tools.
Experience of working with and influencing external partners.
Experience of delivering innovative solutions and value for money.
An understanding of housing legislation, good practice, and current issues.
Essential:
Educated to Degree level standard or equivalent qualification/ experience.
