Full Job Description

To support the CRM and digital teams at Nando's to achieve business goals and objectives through the design, delivery, and interpretation of customer insight from customer behavioural & transactional data and other commercial information. Accountability Measure To add commercial value to the business through the design, delivery and interpretation of customer analysis using transactional and behavioural data. Work with business stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements, translate these into analytical briefs and deliver commercial impact by providing effective presentation of conclusions and recommendations. Work with technical stakeholders to ensure Nando's customer data assets evolve in line with business needs. Contribute to the continued development of the organisation's knowledge and understanding of its customers and use this to inform actionable strategic decision making.,

  • Be a passionate advocate for analytical insight and be able to demonstrate and convey a thorough understanding of the Nando's customers, their behaviours, characteristics, and relationship with the organisation
  • Develop a thorough and detailed understanding of the Nando's customer data model table structures and data definitions;
  • how the data was collected and its sufficiency and accuracy
  • Analyse project briefs and design and the most appropriate analysis approach to adopt for each project
  • Extract, prepare, analyse, and interpret large data sets to undertake statistical evaluation.
  • Apply the most appropriate statistical techniques to meet the business objectives for the project (such as segmentation, propensity and CHAID modelling, regression analysis etc.)
  • Ensure all analytical and statistical analyses undertaken are accurate, significant, and robust
  • Convert statistical analyses and results into meaningful and relevant customer insights
  • Convert customer analyses and insights into actionable recommendations that inform and support the commercial goals and objectives specified in the brief
  • Ensure all analyses, recommendations and presentations are produced to exacting quality standards and that appropriate quality checks and processes are undertaken.
  • Document all code and maintain accurate and up to date version controls.
  • Undertake all necessary data and analysis housekeeping tasks such as maintaining the data dictionary, Python code, etc
  • Ensure that all work complies with the GDPR
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Establish and build effective working relationships with stakeholders across functions
  • Understand stakeholders' commercial goals and objectives
  • Work with stakeholders to translate business questions and issues into customer insight and analytical briefs for clients to sign off
  • Agree achievable deadlines and milestones for analysis projects and manage expectations with respect to deliverables and timescales
  • Act as a day-to-day operational interface between the stakeholders and Insight & Analytics team with respect to individual customer insight projects a dedicated point of contact
  • Proactively communicate project progress to stakeholders and work with them to negotiate delivery expectations should problems or delays occur
  • Ensure all analysis-based recommendations are delivered within the context of the brief and the stakeholders' commercial goals
  • Deliver actionable recommendations and insights ensuring that all communications are tailored to individual stakeholders in order to maximise impact and effectiveness.
  • Ensure all deliverables are produced on-time and within budget as agreed with the stakeholders
  • Proactively identify and propose new customer analysis opportunities that will support Divisional goals and objectives

  • Predictive modelling
  • Understanding multi-channel customer usage and migration
  • Customer journeys on-line to in-restaurant to on-line etc
  • Customer / restaurant interaction and loyalty
  • Triggers for customer engagement and lapsing

    B.Sc. Mathematics, Statistics, or related subject with a significant statistical content, Significant experience working with customer data to create insight within a transactional data intensive organisation (e.g., retail).
  • First class data manipulation and analytical skills, including building propensity models
  • Familiarity with driving value from CRM and loyalty and associated analytics principles
  • Advanced knowledge of analytical tools or languages (preferably Python)
  • Experience with GCP analytical services is beneficial but not essential
  • Senior Stakeholder management and presentation skills
  • Resolving business issues with commercial goals and objectives
  • Working knowledge of GDPR
