Full Job Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated Twilight Animal Nursing Assistant (ANA), to join our dynamic team at Animal Trust in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. This essential role involves assisting Veterinary Surgeons and Nurses. This varied role will provide the right candidate with the opportunity to work across all aspects of the Hospital helping care for inpatients, prepping theatres, cleaning instruments, Reception duties, cleaning and maintaining the hospital.,
- Thorough cleaning and sterilisation of veterinary instruments and operating theatres to maintain a sterile environment.
- Organising and preparing the prep area for upcoming procedures.
- Efficient management of theatre inventory and restocking as necessary.
- Performing laundry duties and ensuring that all areas are ready for use.
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in the hospital
- Reception duties
- Assisting looking after inpatients

Experience working in a veterinary setting is advantageous but not a necessity. Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively, ensuring all preparations are completed to the highest standard. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team, following directions and contributing to team efforts. A competitive hourly wage of £12. Working hours: Monday to Friday, 16:30-00:00 hrs totalling a 35-hour week. Generous annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks, including bank holidays.
