Full Job Description

We are recruiting for an Antenatal and New-born Failsafe officer who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients. You will participate in the running of the specialist administration of Antenatal & Newborn Screening Services in accordance with Department, Trust, and National standards. You will monitor and maintain an accurate screening database of the eligible population and ensure safety of the screening programs. You will maintain and evolve mechanisms to collect cohort data and quarterly key performance indicators (KPI), annual reports, the National Congenital Anomalies Register of Rare Diseases (NCARDRS) as well as providing a daily analysis of impending breaches on failsafe systems Smart 4 Nipe (S4N), Northgate Newborn Bloodspot failsafe solutions and action these appropriately meeting the service specifications. The ANNB failsafe officer will have overall responsibility to provide an effective and efficient t failsafe administration of all the ANND screening service. They will work closely with the ANNB screening co-ordinator to facilitate failsafe mechanisms to identify, and prevent, missed screening opportunities, and maintain an audit for all the ANNB screening process and to participate in the organisation of meetings. The ANNB failsafe officer will be expected to communicate with service users in relation to screening appointment or DNA.
