Join our Client Management - Commercial Risk Apprenticeship programme as a valued and permanent employee from day one. Working alongside your colleagues, you will be supporting clients in the management of their insurance programmes. This includes both the placement and supporting our clients with risk identification. You will have the unique responsibility of supporting with some well-known brand names, ensuring they have the insurance cover, which could include a wide range of insurance from property through to cyber. We have apprentice opportunities in the following teams and locations. For the London based apprenticeships, please note we will allocate you to a team once you have successfully completed an assessment centre. Corporate Team Locations: Manchester, Redhill Overview: We work with specialists across the UK to provide technical advice, programme strategy and discuss risk management proposals to our commercial clients from mid-range size to multinationals across a wide range of sectors. By reviewing their risks and exposures, we aim to minimise loss where possible. Global Team Location: London Overview: Our clients have multinational insurance requirements which allows us to align our expertise to deliver our products and services in a globally consistent way, ensuring our clients get the best of us wherever they are in the world. Financial Services Group and Professional Services Group Location: London Overview: Our teams are specialists in their field, providing tailored risk management solutions to clients ranging from global conglomerates and government institutions to small and medium sized enterprises across all financial and professional executive risks i.e. Insurers, banking, legal, accounting. Real Estate Practice Group Location: London Overview: We specialise in developing real estate portfolio insurance solutions for clients with property assets in the UK, Europe and Worldwide. We service a broad spectrum of real estate owners and investors ranging from private individuals, property companies, global investment funds and FTSE 100 businesses. Credit Solutions Team Location: London Overview: We provide cover for a business on funds owed by their clients for goods or services in a given period; the risk being that the buyer will not pay, which impacts the business and the suppliers own cash flow, and the ability to pay their own suppliers. Credit insurance provides cover to pay the supplier so that the client would be able to meet their own obligations and ensure their business can produce its own workflow / run as required. Your role as a Client Management - Commercial Risk Apprentice As an apprentice, you will be working as a Business Support Specialist, and will play a key part in supporting clients and helping the team manage expectations and delivering on time for our clients. You will be supported by your colleagues, some having experience of the Aon apprenticeship programme previously, and others who will provide coaching from their experience of working in the Insurance market for many years. Prepare to make an immediate impact, as our structured training programme will build your knowledge of Aon and commercial insurance, as well as putting you through your industry recognised professional qualifications. You will be supported to develop your professional skills and future career progression. During your apprenticeship through your skills development, you will build meaningful professional relationships with colleagues and clients. What the day will look like

  • You will be part of a team from day one, supporting the delivery of client-facing activities
  • Assisting in the day-to-day running of client risk and insurance programmes
  • Carrying out administrative tasks contributing to the broking process

  • Your Development As an Aon Apprentice you will be enrolled onto our development programme when you join. This programme is built around 3 core elements: 1. Business learning - on the job learning and experiences giving you the opportunity to develop your knowledge and understanding of the team and solution line you have joined 2. Centralised learning - UK apprentices complete in an Aon Induction, monthly webinars, business skills training and workshops; all designed to help you develop your knowledge of Aon, build your confidence and your network across our business 3. Professional Qualifications - we want you to be as successful as possible, so we'll fully support your study towards your level 4 Insurance Apprenticeship and Certificate in Insurance (Chartered Insurance Institute) professional qualification.
