Full Job Description
We are looking for an onsite Windows 11 applications Engineer, on a 6-month fixed term contract, to support applications testing, defect identification, and resolution for our Windows 11 ecosystem. The role requires hands-on experience with Windows 11 OS, expertise in applications troubleshooting and defect resolution, and effective collaboration skills to ensure smooth application functionality and performance.,
- Conduct comprehensive testing on applications in Windows 11 to ensure compatibility and performance.
- Identify, document, and prioritise defects using defect-tracking tools and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
- Contributing to the Windows 11 upgrade project as an applications testing and validation engineer
- Develop and enhance testing methodologies, produce and troubleshoot test scripts, and document processes.
- Application readiness testing: Scans applications for compatibility issues and provides recommendations for resolution
- Apply suggested fixes to create new versions of the applications when required
- Responsible for scheduling workload in conjunction with the IT Technical Services Manager.
- Work with third party support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing software applications to minimise disruption to customer systems.
- Accurately document and maintain records of testing of the different applications
- Deliver a high standard of customer service in a professional manner.
