Full Job Description

We are looking for an onsite Windows 11 applications Engineer, on a 6-month fixed term contract, to support applications testing, defect identification, and resolution for our Windows 11 ecosystem. The role requires hands-on experience with Windows 11 OS, expertise in applications troubleshooting and defect resolution, and effective collaboration skills to ensure smooth application functionality and performance., o Conduct comprehensive testing on applications in Windows 11 to ensure compatibility and performance.o Identify, document, and prioritise defects using defect-tracking tools and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.o Contributing to the Windows 11 upgrade project as an applications testing and validation engineero Develop and enhance testing methodologies, produce and troubleshoot test scripts, and document processes.o Application readiness testing: Scans applications for compatibility issues and provides recommendations for resolutiono Apply suggested fixes to create new versions of the applications when requiredo Responsible for scheduling workload in conjunction with the IT Technical Services Manager.o Work with third party support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing software applications to minimise disruption to customer systems.o Accurately document and maintain records of testing of the different applicationso Deliver a high standard
of customer service in a professional manner.o Reach out to departments to confirm applications are used and arrange testing.
