Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our booking office. We currently have a vacancy for an Appointments Booking Clerk, to be based at Bexhill Hospital, within the Outpatient Booking Service, in East Sussex Healthcare, NHS Trust. You will be expected to travel across site, as service requires. As part of the role, you will be expected to support our Reception area in Bexhill on occasion, if required. Offering a personable and cheerful service to our patients as well as covering various duties., The department provides a fast and responsive outpatient, appointment booking service. The applicant will be expected to ring and agree dates with our patients as well as performing a rostered telephone session, depending on the service needs, of the department and which hospital site you are based at. Therefore, the ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, IT knowledge, and an ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team, working to strict deadlines. All initial booking clerk training will be based at Bexhill. All system training courses could be held at either, Conquest or Eastbourne Hospital, or a mixture of both., + The healthcare provider of first choice for the people of East Sussex.
