Apprentice

During your apprenticeship you'll complete a minimum of National Diploma (ND) in electrical and electronic engineering with the possibility of an Higher National Certificates (HNC) as well as training in industrial relevant courses and gain hands on, on site experience on the below.

• Support the technician to undertake the following tasks in the industrial and renewable sector;


• Performing inspection on High Voltage (HV) and Medium Voltage (MV) equipment


• Performing maintenance on HV and MV equipment testing and commissioning


• Writing condition assessment reports for a range of customers


• Reading and understanding safety documentations and adhering to safer practice of working


• Participating in weekly forums to discuss best practice and knowledge sharing


• Fault investigation analysis


• Responsible for maintaining and calibration certificates of all issued equipment


• Complete the Hitachi Apprenticeship scheme which will involve working with Apprentices from all sectors of the business
  
  Minimum of 5 GCSE - 4-9 (or equivalent) including math and English


• Good communication skills


• Be familiar with Microsoft word and excel


• Experience in the electrical industry preferred but not essential


• Driving license preferred


• Be willing to work away from home on request
