Full Job Description

Working within this dynamic environment you will contribute to the Service Support & Development Team, who provide a first-class administration service for the Teams responsible for processing of Council Tax, Business Rates, Sundry Income, Council Tax Reduction, Housing Benefit and Adult Social Care Financial Assessments.,

  • support the efficient running of all Income & Awards systems, including timely production of outputs and distribution of reports.
  • support the various transformation projects within Income & Awards, focussing on admin and/or system testing.
  • ensure all your key work items are completed on time with particular attention to accuracy and attention to detail.
  • reconcile key council systems to ensure robust controls are met.
  • maintain a strong customer focus, at all times.
  • The team's official base is in our central Solihull offices; however we are currently working on a hybrid basis, which may include a combination of office and home-based working. The specifics of this can be discussed with the successful candidate and as such, we can be flexible regarding geographical location. However, you will be required to attend the central Solihull offices periodically for meetings/training etc.

    You will need GCSE's Maths and English grades A
  • -C or 4-9 (or equivalent Level 2 qualifications) and will be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of numeracy and literacy skills. Great communication skills and accuracy and attention to detail are also essential.
  • Working closely with other teams within Income and Awards, you will be able to develop your knowledge and expertise in a broad range of processes., The Fluency Duty is outlined in the Code of Practice on the English language requirements for public sector workers. The Fluency Duty for this role is required.
