NO AGENCIES PLEASE, The successful candidate will work as part of a team to provide a comprehensive and efficient administration and clerical service to the vascular department. This will include, coordinating the varicose vein booking process and providing clerical support to the administration team. We are looking for a conscientious individual with an enthusiastic outlook to fulfil the role of Apprentice Administration Support Officer. The role will involve the planning and scheduling of patients who require surgery within the vascular specialty. You will assist in populating theatre lists at the Freeman Hospital and ensuring that the theatre sessions are effectively used. The role has lots of variety and ad-hoc demands, and the post holder must be able to prioritise their workload effectively in a busy department.Working for our organisation Our staff oversee over 6,500 patient contacts every day, delivering high standards of healthcare from the following sites:

You will be able to understand and accurately convey verbal and written information whilst remaining calm under pressure. You will present learn and develop skills using Microsoft Office and NHS systems. We actively encourage candidates to contact the department before or after submitting their application to ask questions or to arrange a visit to support any queries you may have. + Throughout the apprenticeship the post holder will gain experience working in the Team within Vascular service. + The successful candidate will develop the required skills to assist in the day to day operation of the section ensuring the delivery of a consistently high quality service to the Trust. + The successful candidate will complete the Business Administration within 18 months. + Working within a team of staff supporting the provision of an efficient service to Senior Staff and other staff within their team. + Audio typing of letters and documents as appropriate. + Deal with telephone enquires promptly. + Communicate with patients / carers / visitors / staff as appropriate. + Cover admin posts Trust wide as required.
