Full Job Description

To assist in the provision of an efficient and effective administrative support service whilst completing a Level 3 NVQ in Business Administration. To assist in the provision of an efficient and effective administrative/finance support service to operational and support teams within Highways, Transport and Recycling., 1. To maintain and update a range of electronic/manual information systems and assist with the collation of any statistical returns, and to process incoming and outgoing mail.
2.To undertake a full range of clerical duties, including word processing of correspondence, reports, policies and procedures and associated documentation.
4. To co-ordinate, attend and take notes/minutes of a range of meetings and to, create, maintain and archive files. To order stationery, publications and equipment in line with procurement policies and procedures.
6. To process application forms, timesheets, time records, and claim forms and maintain spreadsheets associated with the recording of timesheets and grants. Along with inputting information onto the Financial Management System for ordering of goods and payment to suppliers ensuring payment is in line with standing orders and financial regulations

1. Experienced and competent in the use of office packages inc, word, excel, Powerpoint
2. A good standard of education to GCSE level or equivalent, including Maths and English.
3. Commitment to undertaking any qualification/training relevant to this post.
4. Attention to detail.
5. Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to form good working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
6. Enthusiastic approach to work.
