Full Job Description
A Business Administrator apprenticeship is an entry-level role that offers practical experience and training in various aspects of business administration within a company. In a legal firm, this position is an excellent opportunity to learn how to support the firm's daily operations while being guided by experienced professionals. The role typically includes:
· Document Preparation: Assisting legal teams by preparing and formatting documents, reports, and correspondence, and setting up both physical and digital files, including recording time.
· Filing and Organization: Managing filing systems to ensure documents are properly labeled and easily accessible.
· Scheduling: Helping arrange meetings, appointments, court dates, and maintaining calendars for attorneys and senior staff.
· Client Support: Assisting with managing client relationships by arranging meetings, taking calls, and ensuring client satisfaction.
· Case Management Support: Providing administrative support by managing case files, scheduling, and coordinating communication between parties.
· Document Management: Ensuring legal documents are securely stored, accurately inputted, and easily accessible in case management systems.
· Office Administration: Handling day-to-day office operations, including managing supplies, equipment, and facilities.
· Technology Management: Collaborating with IT professionals to maintain the firm's technology systems, including case management and communication tools.,
- To liaise with clients and other businesses both in person and on the telephone in a professional manner.
- Preparation of correspondence and documents through audio typing and word processing.
- Working on the case management system
- To send and receive emails
- To make appointments and to maintain an up to date diary for the fee earner(s).
- To undertake general office duties such as photocopying and faxing.
- Preparation of mail for dispatch.
