Full Job Description

Assistant. An opportunity for the right candidate working as part of a close
knit team, you'll be supporting and learning from level 3 qualified groomers
on the job and joining our small team.

We are a fast-paced salon, the role will be
rewarding and challenging. We are looking for an animal-loving person who's
hard working, caring, reliable and takes pride in their day to day
activities.

The apprentice will learn the key skills needed to
become a successful Dog Groomers Assistant. Tasks and skills include but are
not limited to:

Greeting and welcoming customers.

Grooming, including assessing health, bathing, drying, brushing and trimming
a diverse range of dogs.

Trimming nails, cleaning ears and cleaning teeth.

Meeting the welfare needs during the groom.

Provide customer service from the point of drop off through to collection for
the customers and their dogs.

Taking payments, answering calls, offering and booking appointments, day to
day cleaning / maintenance of the salon.

Getting involved and creating social media content.

The apprenticeship will be based at our salon in Stamford, training will be
provided by Haddon Training. Work based so the apprentice does not need to
attend college, they will be assigned an assessor, who they will be able to
contact weekdays between 9.30 and 4.30. All theory will be delivered remotely
online by the allocated assessor, who will be in regular contact and complete
4-6 weekly reviews.

Candidates who don't have Maths or English GCSE C or above will have to
complete their functional skills with the college.

The position is part time for the duration of the apprenticeship. Some time
will be allocated for theory during working hours, however the majority will
be expected to be completed outside of work.

Our standard working hours are: 8.45am - 17.00
Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8.45am - 20.00 Tuesday and Thursday. The working
hours will be fitted inside these, proposed hours are 09.30am to 17.00pm,
Monday and Friday and 09.30am- 18.00pm Tuesday and Thursday. We may work
slightly different to this to suit the diary and the dog we have in at the
time... behaviour depending etc and please be mindful of this.

We have team visits to Crufts, we're exhibiting at
Dog Fest, we have a Christmas Team outing, there's some exciting plans in the
pipeline.
