Full Job Description

We are looking for an Electrical Apprentice to join our Maintenance Team and to help us to continue to provide a first class service to our tenants. We will encourage you to grow and develop your skills and to become a valued member of our Maintenance Team. As well as a structured on the job and soft skills training you will be funded and supported to become professionally qualified. You will have excellent career prospects and on successful completion of your qualification there will be an opportunity for you to progress to a fully qualified Electrician role with a salary of up to £32,781., The Electrical Apprentice will assist in all electrical works, including reactive and empty property repairs, planned maintenance, cyclical maintenance, and any associated works to the Association's properties, delivering a high quality, right first-time repairs service, maintaining homes to the highest standard. As our plans grow, we will encourage you to grow; we will help you to build your skills, so you will be a valued member of our highly successful Maintenance Team. As well as a structured on the job and soft skills training programme you will be funded and supported to achieve your NVQ Level 3 and Level 3 Apprenticeship.

You will have completed your first year of your electrical qualification as a minimum, with some onsite experience and a keen interest in construction and electrical installation. The starting salary will be in line with the National Minimum Wage rates and will be adjusted as you progress your career and training with Newydd. You will have first-rate communication, organisational and team-working skills, and a full driving licence with the use of a vehicle every day. You must be able to demonstrate a genuine passion for the role together with a commitment to on-going learning and personal development. Whilst structured learning is key, you will also have the opportunity to get stuck in and show us what you're made of from the start. This is a demanding and challenging customer service delivery role and you should enjoy working under your own initiative and managing a busy workload, whilst also being a team player with great customer service and communication skills.
