Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity in our transport planning group for an apprentice to join our experienced team who are engaged in all aspects of traffic and transportation planning including transport assessments for new developments, masterplanning, urban regeneration projects, sustainable transport feasibility schemes and travel plans. You will develop your general understanding of civil engineering whilst learning new skills and understanding how your role plays a part in the successful delivery of projects while meeting client expectations. Typical duties could involve:

  • Assisting in the preparation of Transport Assessments and Travel Plans
  • Developing sustainable transport solutions
  • Highway design including use of CAD
  • Analysis of data and drawings of transport improvements including junction designs
  • Preparing Technical reports
  • Site and Access Appraisals
  • Liaising with clients and stakeholders

    A minimum of 3 A' levels grade A- B including Math's and Science or equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 GCSE's Grade (9-6 (A-C) including Math's and English
  • Skills:
  • MS Office skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong numeracy, analytical and report writing skills with an attention to detail
