Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to kick-start your career in finance and grants administration? Join the Nuffield Department of Women's & Reproductive Health at the University of Oxford as a Grants and Finance Apprentice! This role offers a dynamic environment where you will gain valuable experience across various administrative areas within a university setting, specialising in the area of finance and grants management. Your responsibilities will include providing administrative support to the Finance and Grants Team, where you will learn to use Microsoft Office, maintain filing systems, assist with financial processes, and manage communications. You will also handle reception duties, welcoming visitors and managing inquiries, as well as coordinating meetings for departmental leadership groups. In addition, you will develop specialised skills in finance and grants administration, including accounts payable, procurement, and financial reporting. You will receive training on the University's financial databases and learn to assist with grant applications and budgeting processes. The post is offered on a full-time basis and is a 3 year apprenticeship., For this apprenticeship, you will work at the Nuffield Department of Women's & Reproductive Health based at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. In total, it will take 3 years to complete all elements of the apprenticeship, with support from the Department, University, and BPP throughout. As an apprentice, you will participate in a comprehensive training program that includes in-house training and distance learning through BPP (Business Professional People). You will begin with a Level 3 AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) Accounting Apprenticeship, which is a globally recognised qualification. This will be followed by a CIMA Level 4 Accounting Apprenticeship, equipping you with essential skills in financial and management accounting., You will be passionate about starting your career in finance and excited about the opportunity of becoming an apprentice at the University of Oxford. You may be starting your career, or you may be looking for a career change. To complete the level 3 apprenticeship you will need to evidence passes at 9-4 or A
- -C in GCSE Maths and English. If you did not achieve these grades, do not let that put you off from applying as you can study Functional Skills as part of the apprenticeship giving you the equivalent qualifications needed. In addition, you'll be an excellent communicator with strong attention to detail, able to follow procedures and possess a polite, professional, and friendly demeanour. There are government residency requirements for Apprenticeship funding which the Training Provider will be able to advise on.
