Apprentice Groundsperson

We are recruiting for an Apprentice Groundsperson to join the estates department working with the current team to prepare and maintain our sports facilities, amenity areas and be responsible for the horticultural requirements at Ditton Field and the London Road site.

Based at Ditton Field typically for 4 days a week, the Groundsperson is responsible for maintaining the lawns, playing fields, synthetic and hard-court areas to a high standard ensuring they are safe and fit for purpose. For the remaining 1 day a week, you will be responsible for hedge and horticultural trimming and garden maintenance at London Road.

The role involves using tractors and operating other mechanical equipment, adhering to all the required safety standards so previous experience is desirable.

The standard hours for this role are 40 hours per week Monday to Friday and involves seasonal overtime requirements which will be based on a rota. It also includes some evening and weekend work.

Salary will be in the region of £20,000 per annum, dependent on skills, qualifications and experience.
