Full Job Description

  • Assist the IT team when installing computer equipment. maintaining equipment .
  • Support the Helpdesk, adding and updating support calls.
  • Support with the deployment of software and updates.
  • Set up equipment required to deliver a practical music, theatre or dance lesson.
  • Support teaching staff by recording and archiving students' work.
  • Support teachers and groups of students in the use of technology, including sound and audio equipment in the recording studio and other resources.
  • To provide theatrical lighting and sound production support for music, dance, drama productions, academy events and celebrations, which may on occasion include evening and weekend support for the annual productions.

    We are looking to recruit an ICT & Media Support Technician Apprentice who is a hardworking, organised individual with flexibility and a willingness to learn.
  • As an apprentice, you'll work and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff. Throughout the duration of the apprenticeship, you will receive training and accreditation through blended learning.,
  • Sound literacy and numeracy, GCSE in English and Maths at Grade C or above
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to build good relationships with young people and adults
  • An ability to deal with students and staff so that they feel they have been dealt with consistently and fairly
  • The ability to show initiative whilst knowing when to take advice
  • Good judgement over matters of confidentiality and integrity in dealing with sensitive information about students
  • Strong IT skills with the ability to positively respond to training in the use of school IT packages
