Full Job Description

If you are ready to kickstart your career in ICT or looking for a career change, we have an exciting opportunity to join our ever-growing Staffordshire ICT team where you will ensure our staff and partners can access ICT services using leading edge technology to meet their needs. You will work alongside our ICT Support Officers who have a successful track record of supporting our Apprentices on the ICT Service Desk to provide 1st line assistance for all hardware and software issues and requests from our service users. In addition, we will support you to complete a 16-month Level 3 'Microsoft Azure Cloud Support Specialist' Apprenticeship with QA Limited training provider where you will have access to support from a tutor as well as a peer group forum from QA's web portal. The training and experience you gain can be tailored to the needs of the organisation, but also your preferences too so that you can choose which area of ICT you might want to become an expert in and build a successful career with us., This is a varied role which will include:

  • Taking calls from Staffordshire County Council customers throughout Staffordshire and beyond.
  • Thinking on your feet and solving issues first line.
  • Developing our self-service customer portal to improve the customer experience and drive down support demands, and much more!

If you have some work experience, that's great but this is not essential. What is important is that you have a passion for ICT and you can show us that you are willing to always give your best, are ready to learn and strive for continual improvement. Working in ICT requires teamwork, organisational skills and a good level of competency using IT systems. We need you to show us you can be flexible in your approach to work as sometimes things can change and so you will need to be able to prioritise work and sometimes change tasks quickly.
