Apprenticeship Program: Exciting opportunity to be part of the Labcorp 2025 Apprenticeship Program in Eye, Suffolk. As a Maintenance Engineer Apprentice within Labcorp you will carry out maintenance, service and reactive breakdown repairs to building services including heating and ventilation, air conditioning and electrical plant etc. after suitable and sufficient training has been completed to a recognized level and qualifications attained to meet the needs of the role being trained for.   • Develop and maintain good relationships with all staff and customers
  • Ensure the company meets its regulatory requirements associated with the work being undertaken
  • Effectively and regularly communicate with colleagues, customers and contractors
  • Attend training courses and staff briefings as required
  • Attend all college course dates where reasonable practicable meeting company requirements. Advise team leader if not able to attend course date and reason for non attendance
  • Gain suitable and sufficient qualifications to undertake the role of a Maintenance Technician
  • Follow instructions from maintenance technicians, team leaders and facilities management
  • Ensure safe working systems and practices are maintained in accordance with company H&S policies and procedures
  • Work as a member of the team and solo as required
  • Assist other trades with the completion of installation work as and when required
  • Observe safety regulations when carrying out work with regard to self and others
  • Obtain permits as required
  • Have the aptitude and can do attitude to see the work through to an acceptable standard

  • Minimum Criteria:
  • English and Maths GCSE's at A-C (5-9)
  • Mechanical/Electrical aptitude and can demonstrate skills in these areas by involvement in related activities.
  • Have a positive attitude to wanting to undertake the engagement
  • Has had exposure within a facilities/engineering environment (e.g. work experience)
