The nursery manager brings a wealth of experience and knowledge, with over 20 years of Early Years experience. All staff are highly qualified, caring and motivated to ensure children's needs are met. Job description A fantastic opportunity has become available at Small Talk Nursery Telford, TF4 2ET They are looking for an Apprentice Nursery Practitioner to join their setting, to fit well within their friendly team and learn skills on the job whilst supporting children's play, learning & development. Duties will include; You will be trained to the high standards of our Early Years Practitioners, contributing to the high quality caring environment for children. This includes creating a warm, friendly and stimulating atmosphere in which the children can develop emotionally, socially and educationally through individual attention and group activities. You will be trained to as a keyworker to a group of children supported by the Senior to carry out keyworking duties. Under supervision, you will plan and carry out activities in line with the EYFS and the children's needs and interests, keeping records of your key children's development and learning, looking for progression and continuity alongside the early Years Foundation Stage, and share with your mentor, parents/ carers and other key professionals. You will develop positive and trusting relationships with children, treating each child as an individual and have a general understanding of childcare and child development interacting with children in an appropriate and structured way, playing alongside supporting them in their experiences and learning. You will contribute to good standards of hygiene and cleanliness in Nursery, supporting children to understand this too. As an apprentice you will be included on a Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship, this will involve a Regional Trainer meeting with you regularly to guide you through your apprenticeship.

  Apprentice wage advertised at £5.28 per hour. This apprentice wage will rise in April to £6.40 per hour so will increase to weekly wage between £192.00 - £256.00 (30-40hours)
