Full Job Description

The Pharmacy Department are looking to recruit Two Apprentice Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technicians. Pharmacy Technicians are vital members of todays healthcare team and contribute greatly in the supply of medicines and products to patients. The training opportunity is an advanced apprenticeship, which involves on the job training whilst you study to achieve a Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians.

GCSEs:Maths C, English and Science (at C or above) and 3 other subjects at a minimum of grade C. Or Pharmacy Services QCF Level 2 or equivalent with 12 months current experience and holds a functional skills level 2 qualification in Maths and English (equivalent to C grade or 4). Or Three A levels, one of which is a relevant science subject and Maths C (GCSE or equivalent) Or Degree in science or humanities and Maths C (GCSE or equivalent).

    This is a2 year fixed termfull timecontract Monday to Friday, successful candidates will be expected to participate in weekend and bank holiday working on a rota basis. Hours:37.5 hours per week Salary: Year 1 70% of top scale of Band 4 Year 275% of top scale of Band 4 New for 2024, NHS Agenda for Change Annex 30 section means existing NHS employees will not suffer detriment to their basic pay when they undertake apprenticeships as part of agreed career development
