Full Job Description

Working as part of a friendly team you will be responsible for gathering the views of people about their experiences of using adult social care services. This information will be used to help improve the quality of services people receive., We are keen to support employees to balance their working life with other commitments. Therefore, wherever possible, we will consider working arrangements that suit an individual's personal circumstances whilst still meeting the needs of the Council. This may include requests for term-time working, part-time hours, compressed hours, flexible start and finish times, home/remote working, etc.

The role will involve making telephone calls, speaking to people face-to-face and sending out written questionnaires using Word and Excel to share the information with the Quality and Contract team. This would be ideal for someone who has an interest in adult social care services and enjoys interacting with people. There will be opportunities to visit care homes, day care centres, extra care/homecare agencies and supported living services with Quality and Contract Officers. You will be required to work independently and alongside the other Quality Experience Officer. You will be hybrid working with time spent working at home, in the office (County Hall) and visiting services, across the County. As part of the role, you will complete a Level 2 Apprenticeship - Customer Service Practitioner. You will be given full training and time to complete the apprenticeship and will be supported to develop your skills in working with people, understanding information and data analysis. About you Essential requirements:

  • Commitment to complete the Customer Service Practitioner apprenticeship,
  • Experience in using IT applications such as Excel, Outlook and Word,
  • An awareness of safeguarding people at risk of harm,
  • Able to speak with people at ease and provide advice in accurate spoken English,
  • Ability to understand data and balance risk.
