• Collaborate with experienced technicians to learn the fundamentals of electronic security systems.
• Participate in college-based training and practical, on-the-job learning.
• Develop proficiency in installing, configuring, and maintaining security systems.
• Gain an understanding of various security equipment and technologies.
• Work with the team to ensure that security systems meet industry standards and customer requirements.
• Comply with all safety protocols and company policies., Fire Emergency Security Systems Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard.
Skills for Security will deliver the apprenticeship training in block release at their Watford Centre. You will attend centre one week every eight weeks. You will be required to complete all training tasks allocated during your block release weeks at the training centre and gather any site evidence needed to supplement your studies. You will be required to complete an annual assessment at the training centre and take part in any additional training courses that the company require you to complete. On Site Training: You will shadow and be mentored by a full time engineer and develop proficiency in installing, configuring and maintaining security systems. Things to consider You will be required to travel to sites for your job role and attend the training centre every eight weeks. The apprenticeship is 36 months and therefore, full commitment is required throughout the duration of your studies. Skills required Array Future prospects On successful completion of the apprenticeship, as a valued team member, your journey at AAI Security Systems includes progression from Apprentice to Installation Engineer, Service Engineer, Supervisor, or into Management. AAI prioritise continuous training and development, offering opportunities to specialise in Fire Alarm and Smoke Detection Systems or branch into IT Networking. • Full UK driving license is highly advantageous - only applicants local to Borehamwood without a license will be considered

• If you have not achieved your Maths and English GCSE grades 4-9 (C+), you will be required to complete these alongside your apprenticeship. Skills for Security will assist you with this.
