Apprentice SEN Teaching Assistant

All our homes and schools are proudly rated GOOD or OUTSTANDING by Ofsted. This is an exciting role for a Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join their team at The Fitzroy Academy, Shrewsbury. You will support the teacher across bespoke learning programmes, whilst completing your apprenticeship. The Fitzroy Academy offers students a nurturing environment in which to grow, learn and develop. All of our staff are trained in Reflective Therapeutic Intervention to ensure a consistent approach to managing behaviour. This compliments a structured provision along with our high expectations and individual plans to best support the learning and behaviour needs of each student as well as supporting with personal-care. We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work within small classes with a class teacher, to support small groups or individuals to access bespoke learning programmes based on their developmental ages and abilities. The post is ideal for someone wanting to start their career in SEN education. Full training will be provided, following a structured induction programme. It is in a rural location so a driving licence or access to good transport links is required. There is onsite parking.
