This apprenticeship provides you with the opportunity to actively engage in a variety of social value-related tasks. You'll collaborate closely with the Social Value Lead and other key stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.

The Role:

Overview of Apprenticeship Duties:
In this role, you'll commit to the necessary work for your apprenticeship within an office environment, utilising the Council's systems and equipment. This involves attending training sessions and collaborating with support to produce evidence of the skills and knowledge required for an apprenticeship qualification.

Duties:

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including our customers and vulnerable residents.

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders such as Capital Delivery, Procurement, Estates and Environmental, Neighbourhood and Economic Development teams, contractors, consultants, resident associations, and voluntary organisations.

  • Work closely with the Social Value Lead to perform agreed roles in teams and projects.

  • Ensure work stays on track and achieves targets on time and to agreed standards.

  • Adopt a problem-solving approach and escalate concerns or seek guidance when needed.

  • Provide comprehensive administrative and business support, using software packages and systems. Undertake tasks effectively, make decisions based on sound reasoning, deal with challenges maturely, and seek advice when appropriate.

  • Collect, organise, manage, analyse, and utilise information to provide the Council with insights.

  • Document and report the results of work activities, making recommendations for keeping work on track or improving it.

  • Support the evaluation of social value responses within tender returns and monitor social value performance across our capital delivery program.

  • Coordinate supplier attendance at social value-focused events such as meet-the-buyer and job fairs.

  • Actively participate to ensure maximum community engagement.

  • Ensure compliance with the Council's health and safety policy and procedures.

  • Demonstrate awareness and understanding of equal opportunities.

  • Maintain confidentiality and legal compliance in all activities.

  • Professional Development:
  • You will spend 20% of your working hours gaining skills and knowledge towards the Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability (CR&S) Practitioner Level 4 qualification.

  • This will include attending workshops, online learning sessions, webinars, and other training activities. The remainder of your working hours will be dedicated to on-the-job learning and practical application.

  • Apprenticeship Duration:
  • The apprenticeship is expected to last 36 months, excluding the End Point Assessment (EPA) period.

  • Working Pattern
  • It is anticipated that a hybrid working pattern can be adopted for this role, where the successful candidate can work from home and the office
