We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Staff Support and Wellbeing Service as an apprentice Staff Health and Wellbeing Worker.
We are a talking therapies service available to all staff employed by BCHFT and provide confidential short term therapy. You will support the team in managing referrals to ensure staff get access to the right support at the right time.
We oversee the wellbeing support at BCHFT. Including drop-in sessions, Mindfulness, training, inductions and team events as well as overseeing the wider wellbeing pathways. We work with services across the organisation and externally to ensure the best support is offered to our staff.
We are a small and friendly team who work from Penn Hospital and remotely from home. You will be provided with IT equipment to be able to work remotely. Our service covers all BCHFT sites and there will be an expectation for you to travel across these sites frequently. Your expenses will be paid for you to do this.
You will have opportunities to work with the workforce to promote health and wellbeing in groups and 1:1., Your role will be to:
· To conduct yourself in accordance with the Trust's Values.
· To attend college to complete the Level 3 Health and Wellbeing Worker Apprenticeship qualification with further opportunities in the field of psychological therapies.
· To support the staff support and wellbeing service in all aspects of administration, referral pathway management, promotion and engagement.
· To support the strategic wellbeing priorities of the organisation to ensure that the workforce are supported with their wellbeing needs.
· To offer informed advice and support to help people find practical solutions for better health and wellbeing in the workplace.
· To address the causes of poor health and wellbeing in the broadest sense (causes of the causes) and do this by taking a holistic 'whole person' approach regarding physical, mental, emotional and social health and wellbeing and resilience.
· To provide assistance for maintaining an efficient and safe wellbeing service and to support the day to day running and delivery of the service. Which includes first point of contact for the service, appointment booking, diary management, audit, support.
· To understand the importance of confidentiality when working with sensitive staff data.
We are looking for a confident and motivated individual who can help us to support our workforce with their wellbeing

The salary range quoted is as per NHS Agenda for Change pay structures. This is based on the number of years' working directly within the NHS at the advertised pay band. Experience gained with other NHS Trusts will apply, but candidates without prior experience working direct for the NHS would normally be appointed at the lowest point unless they can demonstrate the equivalent experience and then be eligible for incremental increases in future years.
