This successful candidate will attend classes and receive hands-on training to become a fully trained technician. The candidate will be expected to take on higher level maintenance tasks as the program progresses. The duration of the program is two (2) years. Upon successful completion the apprentice will transition to a full-time Maintenance Technician. SHIFT HOURS: Sunday Monday and Tuesday 7:00am - 7:15pm and Wednesday 7:00am - 1:15pm. Key responsibilities include: The duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list and that additional tasks may be assigned to the employee from time to time; or the scope of the job may change as necessitated by business demands.   • Observe all safety, sanitation, GMP and HACCP requirements
  • Participate in hands-on learning through a twenty four (24) month internal program
  • + Installing, maintaining (PM's), trouble shooting and repairing mechanical and electrical issues + Cross-functional learning with Maintenance Department
  • Participate in team activities including quality, safety and root cause analysis

    High school diploma or GED, required
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Experience using computers, preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Ability to work at high heights, ie. on roofs, aerial lifts, elevated platforms, up to 50 feet while wearing fall protection and proper PPE
  • Able to lift 75 lbs, frequently with mechanical assistance
  • Able to lift 50 lbs, regularly
  • Able to lift 100 lbs, occasionally
  • Kneel, squat, bend, stoop; frequently
  • Twist, stretch, reach overhead, frequently
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Able to walk up and down stairs, frequently
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures inside and outside the facility
  • Noise level can exceed .85 decibels
  • Finger dexterity
  • Ability to use computer screens for periods of time
  • Ability to sit for periods of time
