As an apprentice Waste Network Technician, you'll be exposed to a wide range of opportunities through getting hands on with our teams. You'll be supporting colleagues to help create a fair and equitable working environment where everyone can succeed by:
- Learning how we maintain and repair our wastewater network
- Ensuring our system is working efficiently and effectively so that we don't cause any nasty blockages!
- Working with customers to educate them on the impact pouring fats, oils and greases down the drain can have on our system and will take pro-active surveys and actions to keep our network well maintained.

This apprenticeship standard is at Level 3 (equivalent to 2 A-Level qualifications). If you don't already have GCSEs in English and Maths, you will need to take functional skills as part of the apprenticeship, which is an alternative to GCSEs and achieve a Level 2. You will need to achieve this prior to completion of your apprenticeship. TRAVEL/LICENCE REQUIREMENT You will be required to have a Driving Licence & access to you own vehicle before completing your apprenticeship as driving is mandatory for your off-scheme role. ROLE EXPECTATIONS POST APPRENTICESHIP By the end of this programme, you will take up a role similar to that of a Network Technician, Senior Technician or Jetting Operative.
