Full Job Description

As an Apprenticeship Coach, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Supporting Trainee Fire Fighters through apprenticeship programme and delivery of Functional Skills. Day-to-day, you'll monitor and record apprentice progression towards achievement and give feedback to them and their manager/mentor.

  • Delivering and facilitating learning to support the completion of required Functional Skills at level 2 including testing to achieve the standards required by the awarding organisations.
  • One to one and group delivery for on demand workshops for maths and English.
  • Create and maintain an efficient work plan practising effective time management and cost effectiveness.
  • This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Knowledge of the process for delivering Apprenticeship Standards
  • Proven record in delivering and assessing learning.
  • Qualifications for the Apprenticeship Coach
  • Functional Skills level 2 maths and English or equivalent
  • Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievements - or equivalent e.g. CAVA, A1, D32 (desirable)
  • Level 3 Award in Education and Training - or equivalent (desirable)
  • Security Clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
