Full Job Description

The Talent team forms part of the wider HR Department based at our Corporate Office, soon to be moving to our Hub in Friars Court, Blackfriars. You will be working alongside the Head of Talent, Scientific Training Officer, Scientific Training Coordinator, and Apprenticeship and Placement Coordinator.
We are a small team, with people development at the heart of what we do. You can expect to be responsible for the effective day to day running of "Synnovis Academy", which is our Apprenticeship Offering ensuring that processes and systems are developed, improved and maintained to meet the needs of the business. Working with the Head of Talent, the Apprenticeship Coordinator will be the primary points of contact for Apprenticeship activities. Additionally, you will co-ordinate internal and external placement students into our Hub and Hospital sites.

Being the first point of contact for all Apprenticeship enquires, escalating as appropriate.
Ownership of Apprenticeship mailbox ensuring emails are responded to in a timely manner and escalated where appropriate ensuring all actions are completed promptly.
· Maintaining Apprenticeship Tracker with starters/ leavers/ movers and generating monthly and quarterly activity report.
· To undertake an initial review of the application form including qualification eligibility check before escalating for approval.
· Support with coordination of Functional Skills
· Coordination of the apprenticeship recruitment processes, ensuring this remains are fit for purpose. Support the recruitment/onboarding process for apprentices and apprentice learners, taking prompt action on communications and maintaining dialogue with stakeholders.
· Creation and implementation of Apprenticeship Induction Programme.
· Work closely with our Apprentice providers to ensure that all aspects of the recruitment/ selection/onboarding and ongoing monitoring are fully supported - research new providers as require.
· Create and issue apprenticeship agreements between apprentices, Synnovis and providers, with potential involvement of legal team.
· Coordinate and participate in monthly Apprenticeship Partner meetings - including making contact all Apprentices prior to monthly meeting to get feedback on programmes and any concerns.
· Following up on actions with Apprentices/ Mentors/ DAS from monthly meeting and updates from Apprenticeship providers
Coordination of seasonal and annual promotional communication/ engagement campaign including leading the National Apprenticeship Week activities
Coordination and attendance of annual and ad hoc celebratory events - such as the Degree Apprenticeship celebration
· Implement and maintain processes and documentation for Synnovis Academy
· Conduct site visits and progress reviews with apprentices and mentors.
· Manage the DAS (Government Digital Account Service)
· Liaise with our Government Account Manager to keep abreast of Apprenticeship developments and as a point of escalation for queries.
· Manage and maintain Synnovis Academy Synfo page (Intranet)
· In the absence of the Talent Team Administrator manage Apprenticeship travel and accommodation bookings.
Placements
· Responsible for administration and co-ordination of placements such as T-Levels
· Coordinating between college and departments to arrange placements.
· Administration of Placement documentation
· Coordination of rotations required in laboratories for training, such as Synnovis Graduate Training Programme, Specialist Portfolio, Scientific Training Programme (STP) and Higher Specialist Scientist Training (HSST) Programme
· Liaising with Synnovis Training Leads / Manager and contacts from external organisations.
· Review of placements, collating feedback
· Liaising with Health & Safety, HR and Legal teams to ensure all relevant documentation is correct for placements.
· Site visits for placements if required.
Additional Duties:
Contribute to the central HR team, its objectives and strategy.
Travel to different sites as required The Hub (Blackfriars Court), Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals, King's College Hospital, Princess Royal University Hospital and Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals.
Undertake any other duties or projects appropriate for the job, as required by the Head of Talent

For now, the job you are applying for will be based at one of our hospital sites however, from 1 April 2024 our people and services will start to move to our Hub laboratory in Blackfriars, Southwark, SE1, with some work remaining in refurbished essential services laboratories across our hospital network, focusing on the rapid turnover of urgent tests. Currently our offices are based in Paris Garden, Blackfriars SE1, however at present these are temporary locations. We expect to move to new offices in the Hub building located in Blackfriars in 2024.
