Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Architect, with a bachelor's degree in architecture, to join our growing Master Planning & Facilities team in Worley Consulting. Also, have over 10 years of architectural experience and a strong passion for sustainable design, you will play a pivotal role in guiding projects to success. The successful candidate will be based at our Brentford office, with a daily presence required, as the client will also be working from this location. You'll be:

  • Handling Feasibility studies evaluating alternative design solutions and quantifying their impact on key project objectives.
  • Leading and overseeing architectural projects from inception to completion, ensuring high-quality design and adherence to sustainability principles
  • Managing client relationships, understanding their needs and translating them into architectural solutions that exceed expectations.
  • Collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure projects meet objectives, timelines, and budget requirements.
  • Coordinating design groups, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.

    Self-motivation and a strong enthusiasm for architectural practice, focusing on creating innovative and functional building designs.
  • The Ability to communicate effectively with the customer, the design team and other stakeholders.
  • The Ability to prioritize, plan work, track progress of self and others and agree and monitor targets to keep deliverables on track.
  • The Ability to provide big-picture thinking before having all the required information, whilst understanding and planning for the challenges to consider at the implementation phase.
  • The Ability to identify and propose solutions that will have the greatest positive impact on a master plan or building project.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to guide and mentor a team effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in relevant architectural software (AutoCAD, Revit)
  • The Ability to build a strong contact network within Worley´s different teams.
  • Drive for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • A recognized and relevant Degree in Architecture or equivalent that will lead to registration as a Professional Engineer. Preference will be given to candidates with a specialization in Industrial Environments.
  • Feasibility studies evaluating alternative design solutions and quantifying their impact on key project objectives.
  • Technical and practical architectural skills
  • Developing skills in architectural engineering-specific software
  • Quick sketch (handmade and 3d models) skills
  • Proficient in Revit, CAD & Photoshop
  • Graphic communication skills
  • Some skills in the use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite
  • Time-management skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • A demonstrable experience in concept design, conceptual brainstorming, or architecture competitions.
