Job Title: Architecture Manager for Product Development

Location: Barrow-In-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: £75,000 plus dependent on skills and experience with executive benefits and car allowance on top

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage the development of technical strategy, approach and standards
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to business senior leadership
  • Validate and manage the demand from functions and programmes into the Product Group
  • Contribute to the overall development of future state architectures
  • Develop, maintain and govern the solution development tools and processes
  • Development of the solution configuration plan and reference models
  • Oversee the assurance of designs against architectures and of the solution design, build and test
  • activities
  • Provide functional leadership and representation of IT resources
  • Be responsible for the alignment of technical approach within the wider Architecture Office IT technical strategy

Your skills and experiences:

Essential

  • You will need to have good Architecture experience with a focus in complex systems engineering
  • Experience with Engineering Management and Design Systems (i.e Siemens)
  • Experience of working within Architectural Frameworks (MODAF, TOGAF)

Desirable

  • Knowledge and experience of Product Management, Backlogs, Roadmaps and Prioritisation desirable
  • Experience with Enterprise One, Sparks EA, or other architectural applications desirable

This is an exciting time to join the team on our most complex programme yet. The Dreadnaught Programme is critical national programme, its big role. Lead define and improve engineering system on major national programme We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
