An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as an Archives & Special Collections Assistant on the Penryn Campus on a part time, permanent basis. The position would suit an enthusiastic Graduate with a high level of motivation for work in Archives Administration. Primary duties include the supervision of users and answering a wide range of enquiries related to our Collections of unique records and published materials. This post also offers the opportunity to gain experience across all aspects of a small but busy HE Archives & Special Collections Service. Additional duties will include working with our Archivist on accessioning and cataloguing work and providing support for outreach activities such as teaching sessions, displays and exhibitions and social media. You should be a graduate or have an equivalent level of qualification and have experience of working in Archives in a paid or voluntary role, along with a range of excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a responsible approach to being a positive advocate for the Service and both Falmouth University and University of Exeter.   • Experience of working in a customer-facing role.
  • Experience of delivering an effective guidance support and referral service
  • Experience of undertaking and delivering small research and cataloguing projects
