Full Job Description

Bury Library + Archive Service are looking to recruit a permanent Archivist for 12 hours per week. The successful candidate will be based at Bury Archives in Moss Street, Bury.

The salary for this post is Grade 10 - £28,672 (Pro Rata)

Reporting to the head of libraries + archives you will support the delivery of an effective and efficient archive service for both the public and council officers within the Borough, and assist in the devising of policies, priorities and procedures for its development.

You will join a small but dedicated team who are focused on improving the service and maintaining our accredited status.

The successful candidate must have a diploma in archives administration, experience of collections work within an archives environment and experience of using CALM.

Appointment may be subject to a satisfactory disclosure at the appropriate level under the Disclosure and Barring Service.
