Our Library is one that supports our communities to realise their ambitions by opening up new areas of knowledge & understanding and through fostering applied creative thinking.

Content - Exploration and access to scholarly content is critical to the process of learning, teaching, research, and knowledge exchange. The Library plays a significant role provisioning scholarly content, working with our academic colleagues and students. We shall work to ensure that relevant content is delivered in a sustainable way and that we leverage technology and metadata expertise that enables our students and academics to explore and access the scholarly record.
About the Role
As Archivist you will take responsibility for the operational management and delivery of the university's archive service, contributing to and delivering against the Library's Content and Digital Services operational plan. You will utilise specialist knowledge to implement and maintain archival standards, ensuring records are transferred, accessioned, preserved, discoverable and accessible for the purposes of teaching, research and institutional administration.

This is a part time position of 18.5 hours per week with the following working pattern: Mon/Tues: 9am-2pm (5 hours) Wed: 9.00am-1.30pm (4.5 hours) Thurs: 9am-1pm (4 hours)

We are looking for a self-motivated and collaborative individual to join our team, bringing a proven ability to manage and deliver user-focused services that align with the University's strategic priorities. The ideal candidate will have a track record of delivering successful projects and the ability to motivate and manage teams to achieve high-quality outcomes.

Key to this role is your experience working with archive cataloguing and metadata schema, such as ISAD(G), and your familiarity with archive collections, including both born-digital and digitised materials.

Additionally, your knowledge of digital systems and their application to archive management will be critical. You should also bring confidence in exploring new technologies and a flexible approach to change, ensuring adaptability in a rapidly evolving environment.
