Are you a driven sales professional with a passion for relationship building? Join our dynamic team as an Area Manager! In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for generating specification and project opportunities through both existing and new client bases in your designated area. Your goal will be to not only meet but exceed annual sales targets while delivering exceptional service to our clients, contractors, and internal teams.,

  • Develop a clear vision for your area, aligning with company objectives and business plans.
  • Manage your time effectively to maximise productivity and provide regular activity feedback to your manager.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients to understand their needs and exceed expectations.
  • Identify and target new clients, leveraging CPD seminars and networking opportunities to drive growth.
  • Act as Project Manager, taking ownership of projects from conception through to completion, ensuring all stages are tracked for maximum conversion.
  • Keep thorough records of client interactions and project progress on the company database.
  • Stay updated on market trends and share valuable insights with your team to refine strategies.

    Degree or relevant professional qualification (desirable).
  • Relevant experience in specification sales within the construction sector, particularly in flat roofing and waterproofing systems.
  • Proven track record of maintaining and developing customer and contractor relationships.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and deliver engaging presentations.
  • Strong experience in cold calling and generating new business leads.
  • Knowledge & Skills:
  • Deep understanding of building regulations and standards related to flat roofing.
  • Ability to absorb and interpret technical information, applying it to everyday responsibilities.
  • Excellent customer service, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with a creative and innovative mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software.
  • Other Requirements:
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle, as this role requires travel.
