Full Job Description

We are seeking a full time Area Manager to support our busy clubs sites at Bagshot, Frimley, Sandhurst, Andover, Godalming, Chiswick

As an Area Manager you will embrace the MSG Life vision in creating exceptional member experiences and profitable growth.

As you grow into the Role you will be responsible for the Financial, Operational, Brand standards, Compliance and Customer experience within all clubs in your area. Support, guidance and development of your team will form a vital part of the role to ensure our culture and expectations as a business are met as well as the aspirations of the people who excel within the business.

Duties will include, but not limited to :

  • Operational responsibility for gyms, ensuring the highest standards are maintained.

  • Proactively drive sales and marketing performance against budgets

  • Deliver exceptional customer service standards across the area.

  • Ensure the clubs are compliant with brand standards and company policies and procedures.

  • Deliver P&L profitability in line with budgets and targets through management of revenue and cost lines

  • Recruit, train and develop a team of high calibre Club Managers and Assistant Managers

  • Develop new starters using the company induction process.

  • Develop existing members of the team using existing processes including 1-2-1's and PDP

  • Manage employee performance using company HR handbook.

  • Report data and performance daily, weekly and monthly

  • Ensure companies H&S policies are adhered to

  • Managing the overall membership within the area

  • Display and Uphold company values and Ethos

  • Work with other departments to ensure all procedures are communicated

  • Full operational and commercial ownership of your area.

  • Take ownership of your development plan and hit agreed goals and focuses as agreed with Head of Sales

    Multi-site Management experience preferred but not essential

  • Possess fair leadership qualities and coaching skills, including conflict management

  • The ability to work independently.

  • Strong interpersonal skills- both verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organisational skills

  • Strong presentation skills and ability to tailor messages to audience.
