Full Job Description

Working across a diverse range of practices and teams; this role will offer you the stability and support of permanent employment, alongside flexibility and variation. An opportunity to inspire others, enjoy the diverse caseload general practice offers and contribute towards clinical excellence across our practices. As a mobile area vet, you will work within a set geographical area and will be allocated to a practice that requires a senior veterinary surgeon for a defined period of time.

Working across a consistent group of practices in the Bristol area and within approximately a 1 hour drive will allow you to build close relationships with the vets, nurses, and non-clinical colleagues within the region and to promote 'best practice' across these teams. Your rota will be arranged in advance giving you time to plan your travel. There may be a requirement to work OOHs but this will be discussed with you in advance and is not envisaged as the norm. Our newly created Area Vet role at Vets for Pets offers a fantastic opportunity for an experienced vet to provide clinical excellence across a network of practices. Whilst each practice varies in size, set-up, clinical caseload and interests, they all share in their commitment to providing the best care possible to the pets of their local communities. Your experience will mean you are comfortable with the range of medical and surgical cases general practice can present and will enable you to provide input as part of a wider leadership team around clinical standards, operational improvement and contribute to the commercial success of the practices you support. Variation will also be provided via project work, trialling new initiatives to help contribute to our wider pet care ecosystem and supporting us to achieve our vision of becoming the best pet care business in the world. We are looking for an experienced Vet who shares our passion for clinical excellence and high standards, whilst equally focused on people development. You are likely to thrive in a role that enables you to inspire others, acting as a role model for the wider team. Driving change and improvement will motivate you, whilst keeping patient care and clinical standards at the forefront of all you do., Pets just see people. They aren't biased and they don't discriminate. We take our inspiration from pets, and we value and respect difference in all its forms. Our aim is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and every colleague can help us achieve this. We encourage our people to be themselves so even if your skills and experience don't perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you!
