Full Job Description

The Wandsworth campus of South Thames College are looking to appoint a Lecturer to join their Vocational and Technical School.

You will teach across the Creative Industries provision, over a wide range of levels including higher education, but with a specific focus on Art. You will produce module study guides and schemes of work, monitor their delivery, supervise assessment, provide internal verification and liaise with external verifiers/moderators as required.

We're looking for someone who has a strong background in Art & Design and holds a degree or relevant professional qualifications in an appropriate subject. Recognised as a good or better teacher, we'd like you to hold a teaching qualification and have excellent current teaching skills and participated in recent and relevant CPD. With experience of successfully monitoring and supporting "at-risk" learners to achieve or exceed their potential, you'll have a strong commitment to equality and diversity, safeguarding, personalised learning and the provision of educational excellence.

With high personal standards and expectations, you'll be hardworking and flexible with good planning, preparation, organisational and administrative skills, with good attention to detail. Receptive to new ideas and initiatives with a creative approach to problem solving, you'll be able to work well under pressure to agreed deadlines.

The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that is due to be implemented imminently.
