Full Job Description

We are looking for an Art Director to lead on the creative and commercial direction of all our Video and Photography execution from campaigns, location, and studio shoots. We are looking for someone who can continue to evolve our photography output and turbo charge our video creation to help make our brand stay ahead of the competition through differentiation whilst staying true to our values. They will ensure all video and photography output meets channel specific needs, from our website to social media and brochures. They will also influence the visual merchandising of our Loaf Slowrooms (stores), working with the VM teams to help make sure the product selection and styling in our stores aligns with our lifestyle photography.

The job

  • Creative direction: Lead the creative and art direction of all Loaf video and photography execution (across campaigns, locations, studio and organic content), including day to day planning and execution.

  • Creative briefs: Ownership of creative and commercial briefs and the construct of our image requirements across styling, light, locations, people, scripts etc.

  • Product selection: Lead on product selection for all output, working closely with Product and Marketing teams to optimise.

  • Planning: Detailed planning for all shoots from location scouting, logistics and team management.

  • Budgets: Tight control of the budget management for all video and photography.

  • Review and evolve: Hold review meetings with key stakeholders to review output and agree changes to move on and optimise.


  • Leadership and collaboration
  • Lead, motivate and grow your team, setting clear objectives and priorities, talent review, Learning & Development and success planning.

  • Collaborate and facilitate strong relationships across the business and support your team in building effective collaboration with key cross-functional business partners (such as creative, website, stores and product), to ensure there is good understanding and alignment with video and photography direction and output.

    A strong understanding of the Loaf customer, passion for market trends, interiors, and competitors.

  • A top-notch understanding of the principles of how to direct and produce effective video and photography that not only looks on point (according to the creative direction) but is effective at selling i.e. take ownership of desire creation through image.

  • Commercially savvy with a proven track record of managing large budgets, multiple format outputs and large teams.

  • A meticulous and highly organised planner with high attention to detail.

  • A superb collaborator who is adept at getting the best out of people and navigating complex working teams and cross functional working across stores, website, product, creative.

  • Adept at working under pressure in a fast paced, exciting environment, bringing a positive spirit to the workplace every day.

  • A proactive attitude, always on the lookout to improve how things are done and challenging the status quo.
