Full Job Description

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Art Teacher to join our school community from April 2025 or earlier. Role Overview: As an Art Teacher, you will: Teaching and Curriculum:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging art lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the potential to teach A-Level Art for the right candidate.
  • Design and adapt curriculum materials to ensure students receive a comprehensive and stimulating artistic experience, in line with both national standards and the ethos of the school.
  • Foster a passion for the arts, encouraging students to explore a wide range of artistic media and techniques while developing their individual creative expression.
  • Student Progress:
  • Regularly assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support both academic and personal development.
  • Use assessment data to inform teaching, addressing individual learning needs and ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed and excel.
  • Professional Development:
  • Engage in reflective practice and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Art department and the wider school community.

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • A Bachelor's degree in Art, Fine Art, Design, or a related discipline (desirable).
  • Experience:
  • Experience teaching Art at secondary school level, with a solid understanding of the national curriculum.
