Role Overview: As an Art Teacher, you will: Teaching and Curriculum:
- Deliver engaging and inspiring art lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the potential to teach A-Level Art for the right candidate.
- Develop and adapt curriculum materials to align with school objectives, national standards, and the diverse needs of students.
- Promote creativity and innovation through practical, project-based learning in a range of artistic disciplines, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital media. Student Progress:
- Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to encourage both academic achievement and personal development.
- Use assessment data to inform teaching, address learning gaps, and provide tailored support to ensure all students reach their potential. Professional Development:
- Engage in continuous professional reflection and development to enhance your teaching practice and contribute to the growth of the Art department.
- Participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and initiatives that enhance students' creative experiences and foster a love for the arts.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). - A Bachelor's degree in Art, Fine Art, Design, or a related discipline (desirable). Experience:
- Experience teaching Art at secondary school level, with a strong understanding of the national curriculum.
- Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply and will receive full support for their professional development.
