Can you support pupils and the teacher within Art across KS3 - KS5? Do you have a strong understanding of ways to differentiate with students aged 11 to 18? Are you looking for a new Art Technician position to start ASAP? If so, read on! About the role - Art Technician The successful Art Technician will have a relevant degree, and the ability to ignite a passion for Art within all students. You will be required to assist with Art lessons to eager to learn KS3-KS5 students. The school are ideally looking for an Art Technician with experience but open to graduates also. If you have a passion for Art and education this role is for you! About the school - The school is a high performing mixed Catholic secondary school located in the London Borough of Westminster and caters for students with mixed ability aged from 11-18. The school boasts an 'Outstanding' OFSTED status and excellent CPD programme for all staff allowing them to fulfil their full potential within education. Main Duties
- Assist teachers with preparation and clearing away of resources for lesson delivery on a daily basis.
- Demonstrations and helping students with learning activities as appropriate.
- Creating exhibits with art staff and pupils
- Helping with the art material deliveries and organising Art stock rooms, this includes updating Head of Art on stock level requirements.
- Maintain and update Art display boards in the Art room and around the school.
- Ensuring all teaching resources are in good working order and are safe to use.
- Ensuring that the Art rooms are neat and tidy and free from rubbish and student files, artwork and drawing props etc are all stored in appropriate locations.
- Assisting KS3 students in photographic resource production.
- Proven ability to manage varied workload and use own initiative to problem solve. The successful candidate must have:
- An awareness of the statutory requirements of Health and Safety within arts environments.
- Hold a current DBS
