This role can be based in the Cornwall, Devon or Somerset area.
As an Asbestos Surveyor, you will work towards being competent in undertaking refurbishment & demolition, and management surveys across our stock and then producing the relevant asbestos reports for both internal and external clients. You will be assigned a fully qualified Surveyor to work alongside during your training and it is envisaged you should be able to prove competency by passing the P402 qualification and obtaining site experience., Undertaking refurbishment and demolition (R&D) surveys and management surveys across our stock.
- The production of asbestos survey reports in accordance with HSG 264.
- Undertaking asbestos sampling (in accordance with HSG 264) where necessary.
- Amend stock data held within the asset management system.
- Attend emergency situations, both during and outside normal working hours.
- Assist in the preparation of statistics, reports and information as may be required.
- Ensure that effective resident consultation in respect of survey work is undertaken, including attending residents meetings when required.
This role is being offered on a full time, permanent basis and can be based in the Cornwall, Devon or Somerset area.
BOHS P402 certificate or equivalent.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Minimum six month post qualification on site experience.
- Similar role within an SLA or social housing.
- Domestic surveying experience.
- Experience in undertaking surveys using Asbestos teams., Disability Confident
