Assembly Fitter - 105265

The primary responsibility of the Fitter is to assemble mechanical products according to drawings and specifications, ensuring high-quality, timely, and cost-effective product delivery., Fitter with full machine build experience is likely to have used/built/have knowledge of the following: -

• Build to General Arrangement drawings
• Rolling element bearings, shafts (limits and fits)
• Plain bearings
• Linear bearings, rails, shafts, etc.
• Ball screws, lead screws, etc.
• Chain and sprocket drives
• Belt and pulley drive systems
• Pneumatic components and systems
• Sensors - ultrasonic, reflective, laser, etc (mechanical fitment only)
• Motor and gearbox fitting
• Work to budget assembly hours
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, basic machine shop machinery (e.g. lathe, miller, pedestal drill, grinder)
• Keen eye for quality of finished product (painting, powder coating, anodising, phosphating, zinc plating, etc.)
• Ability to use measuring equipment (verniers, slip gauges, micrometers, etc)
• Work within a QMS maintaining relevant documentation & control (following & signing off build sheets, filling out ECR's, etc)
  
  Experience in mechanical fitting and assembly with strong communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to challenges.
• Organized and self-motivated, capable of working independently on various projects.
• Knowledge of ISO quality standards and Health & Safety best practices.
• Qualifications & Technical Skills
• Extensive background in mechanical fitting and/or assembly engineering.
