Full Job Description

  • Focus on Integration and functional test: Leading role in the integration and functional test phases within spacecraft production, ensuring all software tools are properly integrated with hardware components;
  • Test Procedures: Collaborate with engineering teams to develop comprehensive test procedures for various spacecraft systems;
  • Results Analysis: Analyze test results to identify issues, trends, and improvements, ensuring high-quality performance and reliability of spacecraft;
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for all software tools and test procedures;
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including systems engineers, hardware engineers, and other software developers, to ensure cohesive integration and testing processes;
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues that arise during the assembly, integration, and testing phases;
  • Innovation: Continuously seek and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of AIT processes.

    In-Space Missions is seeking a skilled AIT (Assembly, Integration, and Testing) Engineer to lead the integration and functional testing of sub-systems and spacecrafts. This position requires proficiency in interpreting systems design, suppliers documents to generate test procedures for integration and functional testing. Leading to the execution and problem solving of these tasks once these phases begin., Minimum of 5 years of experience in hardware/software integration and development;
  • Experience with embedded software and familiarity with hardware integration;
  • Previous experience in the aerospace industry or similar field is highly desirable;
  • Previous experience of shell scripting (bash or zsh), Ubuntu, Python, Java, C/C++ is highly desirable., Proficient with Ubuntu;
  • Proficiency in Python programming;
  • Solid understanding of embedded systems and software;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Additional Requirements
  • Familiarity with spacecraft systems and testing methodologies is a plus;
  • Knowledge of additional programming languages and tools relevant to spacecraft testing and integration is advantageous.
