Full Job Description

  • Guide, develop and mentor the production team with a focus on open communication ensuring that all team members feel respected, provided with regular feedback and learning opportunities, encourage innovation and create a pipeline of future talent.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by implementing lean manufacturing principles and engaging employees at all levels to identify and solve operational challenges.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data to drive decision-making, adjust plans, and improve overall efficiency and product quality.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, proactively identifying risks and implementing solutions to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Foster a culture of inclusivity and teamwork, recognising the importance of diversity of thought and encouraging team members to develop their skills and reach their full potential., People: Lead, motivate, evaluate, and recognise employees. Understanding the skills and experience of the team to highlight gaps and/or training/development needs and builds high performing teams and talent pipelines.
  • Talent Management: Actions processes on recruiting, leading, motivating, evaluating, developing and rewarding people. Transforms resistance into support and supports those needing development.
  • Manufacturing Operations: Communicates across departments to ensure a smooth workflow. Proactively reviews daily operations to ensure production targets and forecasts are achieved.
  • Safety : Proactive in managing safety standards and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Foster psychological safety and team engagement, ensuring open communication and collaboration across diverse groups.
  • Process Improvement: Evaluates production methods and maintains focus, with team input, on promoting the continuous improvement of processes and products utilising lean, Six Sigma and drive innovation.
